Just curious if any of you have picked out or decided on baby names. My husband and I decided long before we got pregnant. If it's a girl her name will be Tessa Anne and for a boy James Scott.

We have talked about it, but won't get serious about it until we find out the gender.
DH is hispanic, and he wants a hispanic first name to go with the last name. I'm not hispanic, and I would prefer for the kiddo to have a mixed name, just like his mixed ethnicity. Plus, I'm afraid my family won't be able to pronounce the hispanic names correctly. In the end we've decided to go with a hispanic first name that has an easy nickname...i.e., Mateo = Matt, Isabel = Isa.
We shall see! That's the first time I've written those names--crazy!
I've been making lists all afternoon. I'm really bored at work today. Even if we come to some decisions, nothing will be final until much further on. We had a name all ready for DD, but it didn't "feel" right as the pregnancy continued. I'm so happy I listened to that feeling and we changed names. Alex fits her so much better than Melanie would have.
Our hard part is finding a boy name we like and goes with our last name. It can't end in an on, in, en and it can't start with a T. Very difficult
That is so funny, James Scott is one of the names on our list! If it's a boy the middle name will definitely be Scott (family name) but we have a bunch of boy names that we like.
For a girl we like Delilah, also a family name. Tessa Anne is lovely!

Such cute names!!!
I love the name Emerson for a girl, no idea on boy names yet.

BFP#1 5.27.10 DS became an angel at 21 weeks on 9.22.10
BFP#2 4.16.11 Healthy baby girl born 12.14.11
BFP#3 9.3.12 A healthy, bouncing baby SISTER on the way! EDD 5.12.13
We have a list that we add to and delete from every few weeks but it will be a long while before we make a decision. What I do know is that the girl's name will have 3 syllables. That is my DH's only request.
We had the name Grant picked out a long time ago if LO is a boy. DH really wants the middle name to be Timothy for his dad and best friend but I hate that middle name, I want it to be Corbin.
For a girl we decided on Gabrielle, calling her Gabi, a long time ago too, but this middle name is flexible and I really want something unique. I'm thinking Coraline
Nope. Big point of contention between me and my DH. We just can't agree on names. It's going to be a long, drawn-out discussion over months. We've tossed around some names, but we don't like each others' suggestions.
Middle names will be easy. DD and this LO will have two middle names, one to honor our ethnic heritage (DH is Chinese-American, I'm Japanese-American). The in-laws will pick the Chinese middle name and my parents will pick the Japanese one.

Dh doesn't really want to discuss names b/c he says "You'll want to change it or add a name when you go into labor." FTR, that ONLY happened ONCE and that was with my youngest daughter. lol
I have a named picked out for a girl. Dh says he's "not so sure about the first name" but that he "likes the middle name". I'm hoping it grows on him b/c I really like it and I'm pretty convinced I'm having a girl.
We have NOTHING picked out for a boys name though.
We briefly talked about this yesterday on the way to the dr. SO is 100% it will be a boy so he doesnt even want to look into girl names.
I told him my boy name and he said he no. Evan Douglas. I think it sounds good, and I like the meaning of Evan & Douglas was my uncles name who passed from cancer. He said we could keep the middle name, but he doesnt like Evan. Have a feeling, I'm not going to change my mind on the name if it's a boy. But we're too early on to even start considering.
As for my name list of girls...that's another story. My like is a MILE long and I haven't even brought up any names to him yet. I figured we'd wait until after we find out.

We've been tossing around names since before we TTC! We've narrowed it down to a few but who knows if they'll change before the 9 months is up. For girls we like Ophelia, Persephone, and Saffron. For boys he likes Xavier (I'm not feeling it), and we both like Nicolas and Gabriel. Middle name will be Chinese to honor my heritage.
Due 12/20/11 ~ Lost our Muskrat at 9w2d
4/25/12 ~ Our angel, Persephone James, is here!
We picked Carter Wade for a boy and then Evelynn Rose for a girl...However if my due date moves up we're going to change the girls middle name to Noel We picked out baby names before we even became "official"...Glad we planned ahead lol

We have about 8 names for each sex picked out. We decided to wait until we meet the LO, see what they look like, and give them the name that suits them.

If you are still considering Xavier, my oldest is Xavier. Most common nicknames are X, Xy (X-E), X-man and Professor X. Just so you know before you decide.
