When do you stop using booster seats?

My boys are 26 months and don't want to sit in the boosters to eat in anymore. However they aren't big enough to sit on a chair at the regular table. It's a fight everyday to get them into the chairs.  Any solutions???

Can you remove the tray from the booster and push it up to the table?

  • Penny is almost 20 months old and won't sit in a booster anymore either.  She kneels at the table.  It was freaky but now she gets up and down very easily....too easily actually:)

I have my niece during the week and she is a couple of months younger than Penny.  I have a little table that we use for lunch when she is here.   They all sit on lawn chairs.  That way she doesn't feel left out sitting in a booster while the other kids are in regular chairs.

It's not a fun transition.  I think my kids were early with it, but at the same time, I am happy to be done cleaning those things!
