Ok to take LO in big crowd?

DH is going to a convention Sunday and I'd like to go with him, but we'd have to take DS with us. I'm not usually worried about taking DS out, hes been going places since he was a couple days old, but the convention would be a large crowd. We would have him in a stroller, probably with a blanket over him, and I doubt anyone would be touching him. Do you think it would be OK to take DS? He will be just over 3 weeks old.

I'd take a Moby or carrier too. Just in case he wants to be held.

  • I have a carrier that I might take, although DS doesnt seem to like it. We havent really tried to put him in it for more than a few minutes at home.

I'm mostly worried about him getting sick (he doesnt have any chicken pox immunity because I never had chicken pox). As long as people dont touch him, he should be ok, right?

  • Personally I don't think you're doing him any favors keeping him couped up at home. It's your call.

  • DS sat on Santas lap at 12 days old and didn't get sick and I'm sure that's pretty germy. I would take him out.
