Help...date night advice please!

Hi Ladies, I'm regular lurker Embarrassed but I need some of your sage advice! DH and I are having date night on Saturday and for the first time since DD was born we have nothing to do. Usually we have plans then get the sitter but this time I decided to just get a sitter then figure out what to do. My first thought was Newport or Mt Adams but not real sure about transport. ( With no kids we plan on enjoying ourselve and " Mama needs a drink, not a DUI") We're up for pretty much everything. Any suggestions?

    Here's what I would pick :)

    Newport: Early dinner at Dewey's, movie, then drinks at Hoffbrahaus

    Mt. Adams: Fancy dinner at Teak or Casual dinner at Mt. Adams bar and grill then drinks at Pavillion, especially if it is nice out.

    and not sure where you live but I would just drive there and then cab it home if necessary and go pick up the car the next day.

    Same as the above, except that I would change up the Pavilion with the patio at The Blind Lemon if the weather is nice.

    Or maybe you could check around and see what local bands are playing - catch dinner downtown at Via Vite or Palomino, then head over to the Blue Wisp.

    For something strangely fun, check and see if the Roller Girls are playing in town. :)

    Palomino happy out is the best! and then people watching on Fountain Square and Greaters for dessert.  I've also been dying to check out Senate.

    I would have to suggest somewhere in there The Melting Pot for desert, again depending on what part of town you live in.
