yes, if you're both mature. Mine was relatively easy, although there were some stressful moments. But I think if both of you are ok with it and over the other person, there is no reason it can't be civil.
The ex and I worked out a lot of stuff outside the courtroom. There was one issue that had to be decided by the judge, but I think thats pretty good.
I had one. Not to say there weren't tense moments or arguments, but we didn't use lawyers or mediators and were able to write a parenting plan on our own. I'd say it's definitely doable but depends on the situation...
