I like them both. I don't know that either one of them is more overdone than the other. I actually know more babies right now named Mia and none named Ava. I think they are both beautiful names though.

Despite its popularity, I've always loved Ava. (I have a niece named Ava Paige.) Then again, it's not all that much more popular that Mia (also pretty).

they're both top 10 names so i don't think popularity matters that much when deciding between the two. i personally know fewer mias, though, so i'd go with that.

eta: not that i don't agree that ava is overdone, i'm just pointing out that mia is more popular than people seem to think.

I prefer Ava. I think it's more glamorous and pretty.

Both names are popular, so that isn't really a factor either way, IMO.

I normally dislike overly popular names but I still prefer Ava over Mia. I've just never been a fan of Mia.

I really like both names!!

I would pick Mia out of the two...I know way too many Ava's right now. I do have another short suggestion that I think goes well with the 2 you have right now...Liv.

I am done with kids and have always liked the name but couldn't get DH on board..

They are both nice names, but I will scream if I meet one more Ava under the age four, so by default, I vote Mia.

those are both on my baby name list. im going to go with Ava. & that was reaalllly hard for me to choose bc i love them both so much but either way you cant go wrong!
