For those who swaddle, just wondering if you also swaddle during daytime naps. I have only been swaddling LO at night, and it definitely seems to help him rest better and not startle himself awake. It just seems strange to also swaddle him during the day ... but after a day like today where he's been awake for hours on end and fighting sleep, I'm wondering if it would be a good idea.
Re: How often do you swaddle?
I swaddle for naps as well as at night. The only difference is that for naps I don't do the escape-proof swaddle. I leave his arms on his chest. I don't know why exactly...that's just what we did a few times and it stuck, lol.
If he's fighting sleep and he's overtired, I would try the swaddle to see how it works. Worst case scenario, it doesn't work and you unwrap him.

At first I was only swaddling at night and not for naps for him to learn the difference between day and night...and then I realized that he doesn't even know his hand is part of his body and that wa a bit advanced for this age! lol I swaddle now for all sleep and he is getting much better naps during the day.
The only difference we do is that we do the escape proof swaddle at night and just a regular swaddle in the day and I have a great little sleeper...most of the time (as he is now eyeing me from his swing, refusing to sleep...so maybe I should stop bumping now! lol)
we swaddled for naps. the little ones especially like it and it helps them sleep.
