Anyone know the area pretty well?  We are looking at vacationing there in July, but don't know anything about it really.

    Its def. nice for our area its a great close by getaway. Tidelands Carribean Hotel is nice and at the front of the boardwalk which is good to be because thats were all the main stuff is Smile

    Hmm, ok.  I would do the boardwalk in the morning or at dusk.  It gets REALLY hot in the afternoon and while there are a lot of stores, shade and AC are at a minimum.  I wouldn't stay at a place that is near the boardwalk since that does become party central at night.  The bus system there is pretty good and one ticket can let you ride all day.

    If LO is able to, then there are putt-putt golf places everywhere.  Trimper's Rides at the Inlet end of the boardwalk might be good too.

    There is outlet shopping over the bridge on the Inlet side.  It is in West Ocean City and a few miles after the bridge.  One of the outlets is Carter's!

    Jolly Roger is a popular amusement park, but I don't know if their stuff is age appropriate.  I tihnk it is mainly for older kids.  Trimper's is tickets-only so you can check it out before you decide.

    DH says the best crab cakes are at JR's.  Mom says the best crabs are at On The Bay.  I say the best fries are at Thrasher's.

    Oh, and there is always the beach!  I'll ask my dad what others do with their kids since he lives there part-time and sees more family stuff than I do.
