So I went to yoga today feeling miserable because of the provera. I got through the class and felt a little better and then as my teacher was passing by me she looked me straight in the eye and said everyone my daughter is expecting #2! Um hello she knows I miscarried and have been having bleeding issues, but I guess maybe a good thing is for the first time I didn't want to cry I was just wanted to deck her.
Anyways the orthopedist said I need a pair of cross trainers and a pair of running shoes because I am a hot mess, shin splints, sprained ankle and IT band issue.
Any suggestions?
Re: O by the way my daughter is preggers with #2
I bet a million people are going to click on this because it looks like you have a daughter who is pregnant...
Anyway, I don't know anything about shin splints, but I am sure a good shoe store will help you.

Baby N conceived after 1 miscarriage and more than 2 years of TTC. Diagnosis was low sperm count. We found success after 3 months of anastrozole to increase DH's testosterone and one IUI.

I figured out a good spot to tape for me for shin splints after cutting myself pretty badly and needing to tape the band-aid on (band-aids don't stick when you are a gymnast)... may or may not work for you... but somewhere about a quarter of the way up on your outerleg, if you press (firm, but don't bruise yourself)... you may feel relief... if this is the case wrap some tape from the outside in (this is a mini version of what my trainer did where he wrapped my whole d*mn* shin and then I couldn't feel my foot!). It helped my sister when she had shin splints, but wasn't enough for another teammate of mine. Also good shoes... with arch support! My issue wound up being related to having a high-ish arch.

I would have wanted to deck her too.
As to your shin splints, good shoes would be a must. But a could way to help then feel better is to take bandage wrap and wrap your shin, not too tight though. I was a dancer for 16 years, got them all the time. It helps compress it and relieve some fo the pain. But in order to prevent more in the future, good shoes are a great first step. I'm no good with the sprained ankle and IT band issues, :-( sorry.
