FINALLY I get to share my Baby's name
I've wanted to ask for advice on this board for the past 8 months. We chose the name for our baby very early in the pregnancy, but my husband insisted that we did not tell anyone. I kep my promise not to tell - and since my family/friends IRL didn't know I felt like I shouldn't post here either.
Anyway, our baby boy's name is Donovan Patrick. It is too late for advice, but I just had to get that out, finally!
(BTW I am really glad we didn't tell anyone! DH was right on this one.)

Since everyone knew the sex it was nice to have something to surprise everyone with on the big day. FWIW: It would have probably been fine the other way too - we were set on the name so opinions didn't matter at all to us. Next time maybe we'll tell the name earlier and then I'll be able to compare.

FWIW, I think there is a difference between sharing names with the Bump BNB, and sharing them with friends/family IRL.
I'm determined not to share my names with people IRL for multiple reasons. But you can bet I'll be asking for opinions here ahead of time... just in case theres some horrible association I've missed, or something.

Congrats on your son! I think you chose a great name for him.
(FWIW, I really don't see how asking for advice from a bunch of Internet strangers with an anonymous screenname in anyway equals telling friends/family the name.)
