My new favorite series is the "That's not my...." series. They're by Usborne publishing. We have "That's Not My Penguin" and "That's Not My Bunny". They're touch & feel books, and DS absolutely loves them.

I love On The Night You Were Born by Nancy Tillman. I really like all the Biscuit books too. We have a yellow labrador named Biscuit, totally out of coincidence, so it's fun to read them and point at our own Biscuit.
I just got the Moo Baa La La La app for my iPad. It's fun! DS loves The Belly Button Book and Barnyard Dance by Sandra Boynton. Barnyard Dance is my personal favorite.
DS absolutely loves "Spot Loves His Dad", "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" and "The Gruffalo". He gets all excited when any of those 3 come out. He kicks his legs so hard and makes excited gasps!
I like "Our Twitchy" by Kes Grey, such a cute book and would be brilliant for an adopted child. I also like "Tiddler". I think all the Julia Donaldson / Axel Scheffler books are pretty rad though.
We also have some "That's Not My..." books which are great. I'd also highly recommend the "Usborne Touchy Feely Kittens" and "Usborne Touchy Feely Puppies" as they're bigger with lots of textures on each page.
All the bear books are fab. DS loves them but they are a bit too long for DD yet
Moo Ba La La La us a hit in our house too. Also I Live You Through and Through
Thomas loves Mommy Hugs by Karen Katz and Mr Brown Can Moo! Can You? which is Dr Seus. We have to read these same two books every night. I have tried other books and he just crawls away. He kisses the baby on every page of Mommy Hugs...too cute!!
Everything Dr. Seuss, especially Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You? because he loves the silly sounds I have to make. Curious George Goes to the Zoo is also a big hit because it's a touch-and-feel book.

Gage's favorite is "That's Not My Monkey". Only book that keeps his complete attention. I want to get more of these!

LOVE this book.
