Coed Baby Showers?

OK, my shower won't be until August or September, but here's a question - has anyone done, or is planning on doing, a coed shower? I think it would be a lot of fun, maybe butch it up a bit with some BBQ and games the guys could get into.

Mine was Coed and was more family closeness...they surprised me at my house so hubs was in on it with my sis.

We're going to have a BBQ. No games. Traditional showers are just not for me.

If someone offers to throw me a shower, this is my preference. I'm not a fan of the uber-girly stuff. Plus my friends are a "group" and that includes men. I know one of my best friends was upset that he couldn't be part of my bachelorette party and I made a mental note of it for future events like this. I would want DH and all my male family/friends to be included (and not feel awkward, so it'll have to not be overly cutesy).

We're doing a coed shower. My family will be out visiting in July, so we're having it somewhat early... but I want family to attend because they all live in Georgia and Colorado. Its rare when they're all in Delaware. The main reason we're doing coed is because my best friend is guy. I want him to come! lol! So I'm giving my mom a guest list, and we'll go from there... We'll probably have a BBQ too.

No but I am going to get my husbands friends to take him out for a man shower where they play games like puke in someones mailbox in Federal Hill then passout on someones living room floor if it's anything like my last pregnancy.

We plan on having a coed shower. I feel like my DH is half of this equation and I want him to be a part of the shower too. We had a coed wedding shower and had a blast with all of our friends and family. So I plan on doing the same for the baby shower.

Mine was in a way. Some of the husbands sat out on the back patio with DH while the shower was inside (at my MILs house). Everyone had a great time.

I've never been to an all ladies baby shower.. I guess around here everyone does co-ed. But the guys are required to bring diapers!

A lot of our friends have had a shower/diaper party. The girls do the traditional shower and the boys have a party. The party includes a keg of beer and guy games like beer pong and poker. The guys must bring a pack of diapers to get a cup. My friends did this and just bought their first diapers at 7 months.

The diaper idea is brilliant! I really can't see any of our guy friends/family standing at BRU with a registry list but you can get diapers anywhere.
