So DH submitted the paperwork to his jobs HR dept to add DD 13 days after she was born. When I went to DD 1 mth I was told she wasn't covered. It was exactly 31 days after her birth. I called the ins co and they told me we have the application, no problem I will have them add her. I'm looking through the mail just now and see a letter saying she's not covered. I called ins co again today and the women tells me she will call me back to let me know if they will add her. WTH!!!! Now I'm sitting here freaking out! I should have called before the 30 days but it was not on my mind and I should have followed up sooner.

Re: Insurance Vent
i even checked online and her name WAS there and now it's gone. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you an me!!
It takes the company several weeks for a person to be fully added to the plan and properly attached. Everyone will likely get EOBs stating their LO isn't covered. It is the medical office's job to resubmit these claims. Generally the claims are submitted on the date of service but that doesn't mean the insurance has LO properly added yet.
I hope it all works out quickly though. When I was still working nothing made me more angry than dealing with insurance companies.
My Hr recently added a health advocate plan....I have used them more than once.
Good Luck!
