We decided that DS is going to paint some terra cotta pots for the g-mas for Mother's Day this year (and one for me too Smile).  I was hoping they could be something that the g-mas could put outside if they want to.  I have acrylic paint.  Will that hold up to the weather?  Should I put something over it to weather proof it or is there a better type of paint to use?  TIA!!!

  • I'm not much help, but I know the acrylic paint will chip off. I am sure you could use your acrylic paint and spray it with some type of sealant for outdoors.

  • I had my childcare kids paint pots last year for mothers day too.  We used acrylic paint and the one C painted for me chipped when it got wet.  So I'm assuming the other kids' pots did too.  :(  I'm not much help except to tell you that I know just acrylic won't work well.  GL!
