Parenting after 35

Thanks for the sweet comments :)  When my mom died she left me a tiny bit of money so I treated myself to take better pictures of Ada. When I die I want her to have lots of resources to supplement her own memory.

I have a Canon Rebel T2i and a Tamron AF 28-75 mm f/2.8 lens. I actually went to the photography board and said, "this is my skill level, this is what I'm looking at. What do you recommend?" and they were very kind and helpful. The Rebel is good for me since I'm still learning and have so far to go. It's exciting to think that a year or two from now I'll know more and hopefully take better pictures.

I don't use flash very often because I hate how harsh it looks in my hands. I want to learn more about other light sources so that I don't feel so limited by lighting. I also am looking into a couple of new lenses. Tim and I joke that instead of jewelry a new lens will be my "push present". I like to argue that since I didn't get such a present for Ada that I should get two lenses!!

  • That's my kind of present. Ahh, a 2.8 lens. No wonder you get such great natural light. I'd have to put my camera on a tripod to get that. It makes such a difference. there are so many times I want to just grab the camera & take a shot, but like you said, flash just makes it look too harsh. I got a flash to mount on top of the camera & when I bounce it, it is decent. But not too convenient. Oh hold that pose Seinna while I get this flash on the camera.

I am sending you an email to your facebook account. Check shortly.
