    so sorry for your co-worker and his family. we live super close to S Lamar and my DH and I just had a bike date night where we biked over to a restaurant (ok, trailer... well we basically crossed at a light and we were there, we really didn't ride on Lamar. and eta: my husband has our bikes decked out like christmas trees, lights everywhere and super bright ones in the front & back)...and we were just commenting on how much bike traffic has incrs'd on Lamar...even though it is a super crazy road. but with all the incrs'd #s of bars & restaurants/trailers, more people are out there on foot & bike. it is scary out there. this hits especially close to home as my DH bike commutes daily too. ugh, it's just plain scary and sad. my thoughts go out to those close to him :(
