Teething or Ear Infection?

We just got over Fin's first ear infection about a week or two ago.

He's had a fever for the last two days, between 99 and 100.8 (only getting that high once), and has been poking at one of his ears a little.... but is also grabbing his cheek on that side. I had a really hard time getting him to bed last night, and then he was up screaming about two hours from 1am to 3.

He's been getting two upper molars for weeks (months?) now, they each have one point through, and the side he is pointing to feels swollen.

Would you take him in or wait it out?

Take him.

I wouldn't mess with the possibility of an ear infection. And it could be possible the last one didn't fully clear up.

I would take him. DD really doesn't like laying flat when she has an ear infection.

Take him. Ear infections often need more than 1 round of meds.

I'd take him in. Those are (J's) classic ear infection symptoms. Poor Fin! Sad

Fortunately, (or unfortunately maybe), it's just his stupid molars still trying to come in! Boo.... I wish they would hurry and pop through!

So glad it's not an ear infection again!
