First OB appt on Thursday!! What should I expect?

Hi Ladies!! I am new to the bump (this is my first pregnancy, so you will be seeing me on here a lot). I have my first OB appointment this Thursday...what should I expect? My doctor is guessing that I am about 11 weeks (not 100% sure because I went off the pill 2/5/2011 , had my last period 2/10/11 and didn't get AF in March or April, so that is why they are guessing). Do you think they will do an u/s?

    Urine test, Blood work, pap smear(if you havent had one in the last year).  Ultrasound depending how far along you are, and just a question and answer type thing where they tell you what you do need to do and what you cant do etc...every dr is different but this is typical

    All of this, but the ultrasound will most likely be transvaginal.

    I wasn't sure how far along I was either, but the first appointment for me was simply bloodwork and questions/answers. They ordered an ultrasound and had me come in a week later to have a transvaginal ultrasound to figure out how far along I was. I was only 5 weeks, 6 days along at that point. You might not have to do a transvaginal if you are 11 weeks (not sure). They tried to do it via my belly but couldn't see anything because it was too early. The transvaginal ultrasound wasn't bad at all - the ultrasound tech had me guide the wand in myself before she took over and we got to see the heartbeat. Other than that, it was just more questions/answers. Very easy! Bring your husband along if he can!
