I have a Gi-normous kid

LO is wearing 6 month sleepers.

Yeah, I know...some brands run smaller than others...but I still think its a tad ridic, he's five weeks old for goodness sake! I had to let the straps of his car seat to the tallest point yesterday.

We have our 2 month appointment next week, so it will be interesting to see how he compares percentile wise. All I know is that he is LONG.

My little baby is growing up :( which is a good thing, but it doesn't mean I have to like it!

    I feel your pain. Our three-week-old is already 11 pounds and 22" long (up from 9 lbs. 5 oz. and 21.25" at birth).

    3-6 month or 6-9 month?  I know Carter's stuff puts the upper month limit on their clothes and others put the bottom month.  Is it for length?  This is what I am afraid of... I might be cutting off the footsies and hemming to get more months out of stuff because it fits well everywhere but the feet.

    Carters 6-9 month, and the one he's wearing now is a different brand and it just says 6 month.

    I got a lot of clothes from my SIL so luckily I'm not out buying clothes every couple weeks!

     Yes, it's length. Which is what my mom said was "the same with you and your sisters, you were all so tall!"

    At my last Ped's appt, LO weighed 9 lbs 11 oz (from 7lb 6 oz) Doctor said "Holy crap! I look for about a .5 oz weight gain a day-he's been pulling a solid 2 oz a day!"

    I'm pretty sure he's over 11 lbs now, and that appt was a little over a week ago!

    I have a hefty girl, too.  She was 9 lbs 12 oz at birth, and I'm pretty confident that she's up to almost 12 lbs at this point.  Unfortunately she doesn't have an appointment for several weeks, so it'll be a while before I know what she weighs.  She's pretty long, too, so she's almost in her 6 month outfits and has to move up in her car seat.  It doesn't help that she's in cloth diapers and now her huge butt causes even fewer outfits to fit her!

    my little boy is also packing it on fast...he was born 5 pounds 14 ounces and weighs a little shy of 10 pounds right now at 5 weeks....shrugs.  he does like to eat lol

    at 5weeks, my kiddo was over 2ft long and 12lb 6oz!  craziness. 
    Baby Boy Born 3.15.11. 8lb 9oz, 21.75in. 6 month stats: 20lb 11oz (92%tile), 30.12in.(100%tile - who knew it went over 99th? Which means 100% of other 6 month olds are shorter than mine!)
