"Baby Daddy" is a derogatory term

And it's not appreciated on this board.  It makes you look illiterate and ghetto.  Don't expect anyone to give you sound advice when you use that in a post

    What about those of us who use the abbreviation BD? haha Actually I mostly use DB in my posts, personally.

    I think we have the same ringtone!  I use mine to be a smart@ass too.  Otherwise I hate the terms baby daddy and baby mama.

    I think anyone who says this is being a little too PC or touchy on the subject. I find the term kind of funny. 

    I think calling someone a "Sperm Donor" is far more derogatory, even if it is descriptive and often on-point. Whenever I see "SD" I think of a woman who went to a lab, ponied up $500 and chose her baby from an extensive database of over-educated men. I know, however, this is NOT what people actually mean. They mean the guy who got them pregnant and didn't bother showing up for the baby's life after the fact.

    When I see "BD" I don't think "Baby's Dad" or "Bio Dad," I think "Baby Daddy." I'm a white girl living in a largely black city and nobody here thinks of that has "ghetto." "Ghetto" is a state of mind.

    Ghetto-ver yourself if you think otherwise.

    i think that being called "ghetto" is derogatory. just because someone refers to the father of their child as "baby daddy" doesn't mean you have the right to refer to them as such. 

    must be an awful long fall from the high horse you're on, lady.
