Hard stomach lasting for a long time

I'm guessing these are BH.  They aren't painful, but my stomach stays hard for 10 minutes or so.  Normal?  Midwife hasn't returned my call yet, so hoping for some reassurance.

    Totally normal.  My stomach gets so hard sometimes and sucks into itself I don't even look that preggo from the side.  It has stayed hard for with only little breaks of relaxation for two hours.  One time it even made me throw up.  Then the next day nothing.  One nurse said these intense BH could be prodromal labor or could be dehydration, mine go away when I drink water.
