Hello all..
I'm not sure if I am welcome here because it says TTCAL +6 months. However we are not currently allowed to TTC yet.
I gave birth to my precious son Aidan 3 1/2 weeks ago at 22 weeks. The doctors said he was too little for their machines at that hospital and they just put him down. He was a fighter and his heart beat was strong. After an hour and 24 minutes my little Angel passed. Unfortunately there was a lot of negligence at my doctors office and I did not receive proper care. I have been seen by a MFM doc since then and she is calling it spontaneous pre term labor..however I do have a fibroid on my uterus that my doctor said would have to be removed before TTC again. That would put me about 1year 1/2 out before TTC. The MFN Doc says absolutely no surgery..and wants to have me on the 17p injection next pregnancy once a week from 14 weeks to 37 weeks. I feel so guilty when I think about being pregnant again. I am told I may be able to start TTC after 3 cycles which I guess is good news..but I feel like I will never be happy again or that I could ever love a baby as much as I did Aidan. It has been a rough month. Is there anyone here on the 17p shot or know of any success with it. Any feedback would be wonderful. Thank you and God Bless

Thank you all for the welcome..sorry I am not that experienced with message boards. I have never been that good on the computer..but I will try my best. It will be nice to have some other woman to talk to who understand how I am "really" feeling.
Welcome...I don't have any experience with what you were discussing, but I wanted to say you need to be comfortable with your doctor and trust them 100%. I had 3 large fibroids I had removed through a myomectomy last June. One was half the size of my uterus, plus I had a complete septum in my uterus...so, I only half 1/2 of my uterus available for a growing baby. So, now it's kinda like I have a new uterus.
If you have any question about the myomectomy, let me know.

My heart is breaking for you. I'm so sorry for the loss of baby Aidan. I agree with the pp's who have suggested you find another doctor. Particularly if they are suggesting surgery. You should be 100% comfortable with your surgeon before you agree to any procedure and not feel bullied into it.
Maybe the mfm doctor can recommend another obgyn? They usually have good relationships with referring docs. HTH and sorry I don't have any insight on the shot.
