Period-like cramps

Anyone else getting these? I had some yesterday that made me have to sit down and even then anytime I moved my legs they came back. I've had a little today, but nothing like yesterday. I assumed I was overdoing it, but I'm not sure.

Re: Period-like cramps

  • I had some that were pretty bad, so I called my doctor.  She said if it's happening more than 4 times an hour, or if it keeps happening over time, to come in and get checked out.  She said it could be Braxton Hicks or it could be real contractions, or it could just be your uterus stretching.  She said to make sure to rest and hydrate and see what happens - mine went away totally, so I never went in.

  • I'm now on day 3 with some cramping, have now called the drs office 3 times. I'm still waiting for a response....

    Hopefully you feel better soon.

  • I had pretty constant period like cramps a while back.  Turned out i had a bladder infection, which left untreated could have lead to pre-term labor.  It probably wouldn't hurt to call your doctor and just see what they have to say.

  • I have had them off and on for a week. I saw my Dr. today and she said they were contractions but were not a  worry unless there were more than 6 in an hour, or were accompanied by fluid loss or bleeding.
  • Yes, I have been having some dull period like pains, not cramps really. And some in my lower back as well. I figure I may be doing too much since I've been doing a lot of cleaning and have been on my feet a lot more than usual.

  • I had them last weekend so I really kicked up my water intake and they went away!

My doctor said the same thing. He also said to call if they get extremely painful.

  • I have been having some since about 31w...its like a tiny, incy, weency, sliver of what a contraction is really like...they have slowed a bit, but still freak me out. My BH's last time were nothing like this. Its enough to hurt a tiny bit and to make me stop for a second.

  • I feel them at night when I get up to pee. Its been a few nights in a row. My water intake is good (2.5- 3L a day). I might just be overdoing it at work. I work LONG days and have a high stress environment. I think my dr is going to put an end to that at my apt tomorrow.
