Anyone want to vent about work

I posted about it on FB but I'm so frustrated. I just spent 20 minutes showing a lady next to me how to open a document from her hard drive using Word and formatting it to print. The lady literally can not open a file! SHe then proceeds to tell me "oh that is too many steps. They should just fax the report to me, it would be so much easier." I hate to say she is a supervisor. If she had to re-interview for her job she would not get a call back. Ugh....

Re: Anyone want to vent about work

  • That is just sad Huh?

I would vent about my job, but it would just sound whiney and ungrateful. Because I am ... whiney and ungrateful. That and talking about my job makes me cry and that makes people uncomfortable Wink

  • Yes, I do want to vent about work.

The boys nap from 1-3 most days.  Today, they were having some sort of frat party and Coop finally fell asleep.  At ~2:30pm.  Spence is STILL effing awake.  I have no idea what to do, do I get him out of his crib and just hope he's not a mad cow for my MIL who is baby-sitting later?  And what about Coop?  Do I wake him up at a certain point, knowing that if he sleeps til 5p, he's going to miss us leaving and maybe freak out that MIL is getting him out of his crib and for sure be a complete arsehole at bedtime tonight?

OMG, they are making today rough!  Just go to sleep when I put you in your crib, damn it!

You're going to Mumford & Son's tonight so shove it. Stick out tongue

Seriously though I wouldn't let Coop sleep more than an extra 30-45 minutes so that it doesn't screw with bed time.

Yes  Gotta love the SAHM work vents! Because, well, it IS work!  Harder than an outside-the-home job sometimes, I think!  But No and Tongue Tied for out of sync napping days.  I HATE those days.

My work vent is that with my new business partnership, things aren't really going according to the way I thought they would.  Nothing really hugely upsetting or deal-breaking, I just sort of feel like I was "sold" on some ideas for the business that aren't really going to be the way I understood that they'd be. Super Angry I think it'll be okay and I'll figure out a way to make things work, I just feel a tiny bit duped and a little bit disappointed and stressed about having to rework a few things. Blech. Plus it's a bit annoying that the person in charge of getting everything in place got married on Sat and will be getting back from her honeymoon a mere TWO DAYS before our semi-soft open.  Like, last week the place had no drywall, and we're supposed to be open in like 10 days, and the owner is out of the country for the next seven of those. I'm just a little stressed.  Just a little.

I had a boss once that called me in to her office every. single. time. she needed to attach a file to an outgoing email. I was there two years and on my last day, I was in her office, sending her emails with their attachments.

AND on the day that we were moving our office, our server didn't get moved at the right time and was going to take an additional day to come online. While the office manager and the IT gal were freaking their freak, our boss was being all relaxed and calm and we thought that she was really taking this well. Until she pulled out her laptop and tried to check her email. She totally didn't understand that no server = no email, no website, no internet access.
