My boy, the monkey

So, Finn has been climbing out of his crib. We changed him into Noah's old crib nearly a year ago because it was much bigger (deeper) and impossible to climb out of. Uh yeah, so I thought.

I glanced into the monitor on Saturday during his nap because it was kinda noisy upstairs. No baby. Sean goes up and he is in his room playing. I watch as Sean puts him back in his crib and he swings up over the side, basically hangs from the side with his arms until his feet touch the ground. It is quick and efficient.

I can't keep him in his crib now. I have a sleigh crib and not conducive to a crib tent plus I read some scary stories about some accidents with them. Finn is big and strong and quite capable to get tangled up in one. Noah was is his crib until he was almost 3, Finn is barely 21 months old. I am so not ready to transition him to a toddler bed.

Anyway, off to buy him a toddler racecar bed to match his brothers big race car bed. I figure I will keep both crib and toddler bed in there for a few weeks so if he decides to climb out of his crib, he can crawl into the racecar. Yesterday, after an hour of playing in his room, he fell asleep against the bottom of the half door to his room with his bankie.
