We just discovered that Hudson is deathly afraid of white noise - you know the fuzzy screen on the television set? He freaks out instantly and cries and won't even look at it. It's like he had a tramatic experience with it. I feel so bad for him and he had a death grip on me. Even if it is muted and he just sees the fuzz part of it, he doesn't want to look at it.
What about your LO?
Re: What is your child afraid of?
The sound of a power drill (we've been renovating since LOs were born so I told DH that it haunted them in their sleep at night)
Packing tape being ripped off of a box (no idea)
A loon stuffed animal that makes the loon call (sad about this one, since I'm from Maine and LOVE that sound)

This. If something seems to freak him out, I keep exposing him to it and assure him it's ok. It worked with the vacuum.
Bar tab = $156,000, Bus to Foxwoods = $0, Puking in the Stanley Cup = Priceless
This. DS has been startled by loud noises but was never continuously afraid of anything. I'm surprised at how many LOs are afraid of the vacuum or blow dryer. Those are the two things that used to put him to sleep when he was a newborn...weirdo!
anything with a loud motor. I am trying to expose him and get him used to things, but he just ends up crying hysterically and it doesn't seem to do much good.
Oh well, I will keep at it and hopefully he will get used to it someday.
A kiss he will never forget- Disney World 2014
This is the only thing he has shown any aversion to?it's hysterical.
Foam fingers are pretty scary and squishy too!

Church ladies.
You'd think they'd learn to stay out of his face and quit yelling at him and getting up in his business when he cries at them Every. Single. Week.

When we turn the ipod on in his room and he doesn't know where the music is coming from.
Hilarious. My DS loves those church ladies!
