Ideas for family photo location

We are having family photos done in a couple of weeks, and I cannot decide where I want to have them taken.  We would like to have them taken outside in a park, or somewhere that looks very springish (flowers, trees, etc.)  We live about 1/2 hr North of Troy, Lincoln County, so I would prefer somewhere in Lincoln or St. Charles Counties.  I have 2 little ones, and they are not fond of long car rides, so the closer, the better :) 

 I really like Lake St. Louis, and think pictures by the water would be beautiful, but I do not know if there is a public park with flowers (springish looking) that is right by the water.

 Any/all suggestions are GREATLY APPRECIATED!  Please help!

    I don't know if you are up for a drive, but Forest Park by the fountains in front of the Art Museum is pretty nice. Not sure if there are a lot of trees and flowers. But it is a pretty background. Have fun!

    I'm a photographer and my favorite place to use in St. Charles County is New Town.  The whole neighborhood is gorgeous.

    Main Street St. Charles could be cute, there is the waterfront for some water pics, the old time charm of Main Street for some fun ones and the pretty gazebo that I've seen plenty of wedding parties stop by to get photos taken there as well. Usually pretty trees/flowers in that area too. Enjoy the photos!

    Have you been to Innsbrook? I'm not sure if you can get in without knowing someone who has a place there, but it's so beautiful around the lakes and with all the wooded areas.
