I am looking for recommendations for a nursing cover. I think I had heard of ones where you can still see LO while nursing?
Also, so far we have only nursed at home and I am always using the My Brest Friend pillow. I am very intimidated by trying to nurse LO without it (and I am not going to wear it in public!). Do you have any tips and/or suggestions? Is it really just practice makes perfect and I should try not using it to nurse so I get used to that? Or are you figuring out other ways to prop LO up when you nurse in public?
TIA!
Re: Rec your nursing cover and a NIP question
not sure if you have a sewing machine but i made mine

it's pretty easy. otherwise the hooterhider is a great one too.
I have the Balboa Baby nursing cover here:

The cover is great, and yes, you can see baby because it bows out a little at the top. As far as NIP, try nursing at home without the pillow a couple of times so you can figure out how to hold LO comfortably. It usually helps me to lift my knee up a little higher to help use as a prop. Otherwise, I just use my arm.

This is what I do every time. LO came a little earlier than we expected and I never got around to buying a nursing pillow beforehand so I learned how to do it this way and it works just fine.
I also just use a little blanket to cover myself if I need to. I'm all about minimizing the amount of stuff I need to take with me because I think it makes going places less intimidating.
