Anyone have weight loss surgery?

I have been thinking about weight loss surgery for awhile now as I am very overweight and really struggle to lose weight on my own. I've tried many, many times to do so but have a hard time with it. I have PCOS and am wondering if that would have an affect on me losing weight even with the surgery. Anyone have surgery and care to share their experience?

    I haven't had it personally, but I know a lot about it.  You can fire questions at me via FB if you need to know anything specific.  I know at least one person here has had surgery, so she will be a good resource if she chooses to respond.

    My mom has had the surgery (approx. 5 yrs out now) and my father has had the lapband (approx. 3 yrs out now).   My mother did patient advocacy work for a period of time with a doctor who does both proceedures with whom are family is still great friends with.  If you would like to speak with her I can hook you up...email at robnoel@ymail.com
