This is going to be short and sweet, seeing as how it's almost time to feed LO.
I went into the hospital at 9pm on Thursday, April 21st in order to have Cervidil inserted before my induction the next morning. I was 41 weeks along, and only 1cm and 50% effaced at that point. At 6:00am on Friday, they started the Pitocin drip. After over 12 hours on Pitocin, I had only dilated two more cm, and I was still only effaced 50%. Due to a lack of progress and how much pain I was in (I was having close contractions, but couldn't get an epidural until 4cm), I was given the option of a c-section. At that point, I was SO exhausted that I couldn't imagine trying to labor on (and it was still only early labor), to possibly not even progress anymore. It had just been so slow going all day. I opted for the c-section, which ended up being a good move because it turns out LO was sunny-side up!
He's adorable, and has been SUCH a good baby so far! We are working on breastfeeding, and while he's made great progress, my nipples hurt now when he feeds because neither of us knew what we were doing at first. We'll get it though!
Good luck to all those still waiting on their LOs!

Did you see a lactation specialist?
