Hello Ladies! I've posted here before, but had to open a new account since thebump wouldn't let me edit any of my preferences. I went off BC shortly after visiting with an OB, since she gave me the go ahead to try this summer. I stopped mid-march and we just found out today that we are expecting. We are a bit surprised. I was shaking, crying, and felt so happy. This came at a perfect time since it was just this week that I started feeling at peace with my CS. I am ready! Any advice for a brand-new VBACer?

    Congrats on your pregnancy! I haven't had my VBAC (yet, hopefully) but my best advice is to read, read, read and thoroughly question your OB to be sure she is 100% on board with your VBAC goal. :)

    Congrats!!  I hope to be right behind you.  My first steps would be/will be the following.

    - arm yourself with as much research as possible.  join ICAN and use their wealth of resources.

    - don't take anything your provider says at face value.  really ask the hard questions and try to read between the lines when they answer.

    - consider getting a doula
