LO is a creature of routine

We had my parents and cousins over for Easter dinner and did it at our house so LO wouldn't be too disrupted. But just having people over was disruptive to him! He went down really quickly for 2 naps, but only stayed asleep for about 30 minutes each time, and he was more interested in smiling at me than nursing (and it's so sweet to see him grin at me when he nurses that I probably reward him for being distracted!) He is such a tired crank right now but won't fall asleep! Poor kiddo.

Of course, I'm exhausted, too, so I really hope he falls asleep tonight.

Re: LO is a creature of routine

  • We do the same thing - have dinners @ our house so LO doesn't have to be shuttled around and overstimulated.  DH had to have hand surgery Friday so I wasn't planning a big Easter dinner this year.  Ended up doing brunch w/ my dad and dinner at the inlaws which was entirely too much for LO.  He passed out in my arms at 7 last night after only taking a 40 minute cat nap in the car.  Either way, just the sheer change of surroundings (be it people or places) is enough to stimulate their brains and as curious creatures, they don't wanna miss one single thing!
