Success after IF

How do I clean this??

I'm coming over from PAIF to ask some experienced mama's a question.  It might be a dumb question, I apologize.

I received a teething toy yesterday that is part rubber and part material.  See link: https://www.amazon.com/Sassy-Beginning-Bites-Teethers-Developmental/dp/B002L3T9XI

I am wondering how I would go about cleaning it.  It says not to immerse in water and just wipe clean with a damp cloth.  But I feel it needs to have a better cleaning then that before I give it to LO.  It is not a sealed package and therefore who knows how many grimy hands have been all over it.

Is it possible to get it thoroughly cleaned or should I just return it to the store?

Thanks!! :)

  • Honestly - return it.

For me, if a toy can't be washed in a washing machine or a dishwasher, I hesitate.

There are ton of great teethers you can get.

  • You could wipe the rubber part with a Lysol wipe.  I am not sure what you could do to the fabric, but I really don't think you need to return it to the store, I am sure your LO will love it!

  • I have something similar and I toss it in the washing machine.

And it comes out okay?  I'm just concerned because it says not to immerse it in water.

  • I am a big fan of freezer cleaning!

if you can sterilize it, freeze it. I put stuff in a zip lock and leave it for a week

  • I would totally put that in the top rack of my dishwasher. I wouldn't worry about it, it looks like a great toy.
