3rd trimester cramping??

I had mild cramping in my lower tummy from 5:30am - 1pm today.  No matter what I did the cramping came and went and came back again.  I tried drinking lots of water, laying on the couch, getting up and walking around a bit and nothing made it stop.  It was only really mild cramping and LO was moving around a lot.  The cramping reminded me of the 1st trimester cramping and RLP.  It stopped around 1pm but now I am having what I think are BH contractons and LO is still moving around a ton. 

This is totally normal right?  DH has told me that they talked about it in birthing class (I must have missed that part) and that it is normal.  I am just wondering if I should be thinking about packing my hospital bag and taking it with me to the cottage in the morning.

    yes this is normal. your body is just starting to get ready. it doesn't mean that you will have your baby right now. I freaked out about that too when I first started to feel it a couple weeks ago. 
    IVF, acupuncture, meditation and a miracle.

    thanks for the info Carrie.  I feel much better hearing from another pg person that it is normal.  I can't believe you are already 38 weeks!! Time flies!

    I'm already starting to have mild cramping here and there and I'm definitely having multiple BH everyday. I know it's totally normal to start experiencing these things but it freaks me out every time!
    Our 1st IVF miracle, Briggs Sterling, born via c-section due to IUGR and footling breech. 6.5.11. 5:51am. 5lbs 1.5oz.
