Well, like my pp said, I was hoping for rain on Friday night so DH wouldn't have his game. I got my wish. It rained. Hard. We made our dinner and as we were finishing up, I decided to turn on the weather, only to see that they were reporting about a confirmed tornado in Oklahoma that was headed straight for us. We quickly cleaned up the kitchen while watching the weather. About 30 minutes later or so, it was so close that we decided to get in the closet. We were in there with Gav and the dog. G thought it was hilarious. DH brought in a bunch of pillows and he asked why. When we told him they were to cover up with in case the storm was bad, he crawled under them laughing. At one point, the rain stopped and then we could hear the wind howling so loud outside. When DH ran into the closet, I got scared, because you could tell he was scared, too. It was a crazy night! There was a confirmed tornado that touched down near the airport, about 10 mins from our house, luckily with very little damage. The storms then headed toward St. Louis where I'm sure you've seen the stories on the news about how the tornado destroyed their airport. We definitely lucked out! And let me just tell you...trying to crouch down, cover my head while keeping G safe...next to IMPOSSIBLE with a pregnant belly! It was so uncomfortable!
