Weekend/Easter Plans?

What are your plans this weekend? For those that celebrate Easter...egg hunts and Sunday service? We are heading to Solvang today (we are on the Central Coast of CA...)...it's a Danish community with the most amazing pastries in the world. Remember my post about sugar? HELP! At any rate...happy Easter to you all!

    We are all ready for the egg hunt at our house. I tried to limit the chocolate I bought to avoid temptation, we will see how I do!

    Happy Easter! we aren't doing anything. SO is on call allll weekend, which means not only is the phone stuck to him. He can't leave a 30 mile radius of the base and has to go in to the clinic to do rounds sat and sun morning. I say morning but it is 4 and he still isn't home ( left at 8).  I think I may go to the grocery store and get the basics for a nice meal tonight and then the Easter dinner for tomorrow. Then it is just a matter of finding the energy to cook!

    We celebrate Easter & my boys are SO excited!!  They had egg hunts this week at preschool & kindergarten.  We have a big service at Church tomorrow morning & then Easter lunch and another (family) egg hunt at my mom's house.  I took them for Easter pictures today.  So cute!!  Now, I have to get my butt out of the house & go get more treats from the Easter Bunny.  Honestly, it feels more like Christmas than Easter sometimes. Happy Easter to all!

    I spent today driving around - son had 2 baseball practices and DH had a function at his shop that I needed to set out some desserts for. 

    Now I'm fighting with my hormonal DD - thank GOD this new baby is a boy, I'm not sure I'd survive another teenage girl.

    next up is the grocery store for a movie and something for dinner.

    tomorrow is church at 8am, then getting the house cleaned up and ready for the week, then dinner at my mom's at 3pm.  I wanted to print out and frame some of our wedding pictures to give as gifts (it's been 18 months!!) but I'm not sure I have the energy to do that.  We'll see.

    We are all set up for an Easter egg hunt in the AM...then a quiet dinner at home.  We had relatives visiting all week long so it will be nice to have a quiet day with just our little family.

    What great plans!! I saw the common thread with your lovely posts....exhaustion! LOL! We all are suffering from prego fatigue that limits our ability to cook, print pics, you name it! Baby....give us a break!

     LauraL-I am sooo laughing about your post and your hormonal teenage DD comment. I TOO have a hormonal ALMOST teenage DD. She's almost 12. I think I may sell her to the gypsies (JK)!! When did the hormones start for your girl? I also have a 7 year old DD and am praying this is a BOY...omg. What to do with three girls? Well, we will see. For now...I'm battling the DD's whining need for designer clothes and desire to sit on the couch all weekend like a lump. No, and no. My energy is waning!

    Happy Easter! May we all find ourselves a lovely nap! Smile
