Trying to Get Pregnant

Temping Question/Problem

Hello... I have a bit of a problem, I think, and would love some input from you veteran tempers out there. I know that I need to temp in the morning before getting out of bed, and at the same time each day, however, my new job may prevent me from doing so. I may have to be at work at 5:00am some days and at 10:00am others (and various hours in between). Normally, I wake up at 5:00, temp, then go about my day. However, now with some earlier shifts thrown in the mix I will have to get up at 3:30 on those days. My first thought was to just set my alarm for 3:30 everyday and temp then go back to sleep, but then I thought about the change in the sleep pattern. If I have to work the early shift I will go to bed around 8:00. But if I am not working until 10:00 or perhaps it is my day off, I could be up as late as 11:00 or 12:00. Won't that throw my temps off? Is there any way around this? Thanks!!!!
So I figured out how to remove my bump ticker....

Re: Temping Question/Problem

  • As long as you get 3 hours of sleep it doesn't matter what time you go to bed.  I agree with setting your alarm at 3:30 and going from there.

  • I have a rotating schedule also. Some nights I go to bed as early as 10 pm and others as late as 3 am. I temp at 6:30 am every morning since I'm usually always asleep by 4 am. As long as you're asleep for about 3 hours before you temp than you should be fine. Try to be as consistent as possible and you should still be a temp shift after O. GL!
