LO is right at 9lbs (was born 5lb12oz) and I'm unsure if we should move up in diaper sizes or hold off. Newborns say they go up to 10lb and size 1 is for 8-14lb. Would you stay in NB until she reaches 10lbs or go ahead and move up to size 1? TIA
I wouldn't pay any attention to the recommeded weights, just judge based on how they fit your LO. Every butt, legs and belly is a different size so a newborn diaper can fit two 8lb babies differently. That said my 9lber is still in NB's...they're getting a little snug, but the 1's are huge. Also if you're starting to have poop blowouts or pee leaks that's a good indication that it's too small.

ditto. My DD was still in NB's at 9 lbs. However, when she got to around 10 lbs they started leaking. They still fit fine, but leaked so we switched to size 1's. The look big, but no leaks so far!
DD was born 9 pounds. Went down to 8 after birth. I did 4 days of newborn and have done size one at night (we cloth diaper during the day) ever since. Newborn and ones are pretty much the same from what I noticed.

Same here. Though my LO leaked in 1s so that it meant they were too big and went back down to NB. LO currently weighs 9lbs.
DS was in NB diapers for the first 3 weeks. They still fit his body fine, but he pees a lot and it was starting to leak out during the night when he didn't wake up as often. So he is in size 1 now and it is going much better. Oh, and he was only around 8lbs at 3 weeks when we switched to size 1. I don't really go by what the package weight says.
