feeling dizzy and fast heart

in 3rd Trimester

Im 27 wks. Today at church I experienced feeling my heart accelerate and like I couldn't hardly stand.  Anyone else ever feel that way.  I had faint spells the beginning of pregnancy but haven't had many episodes since.

Just trying to take it easy at home now.

    Yes, it happens to me. My OB said it could be low blood sugar, or result from blood pressure fluctuations when you stand up. She recommended adding a bit of protein to each meal to help keep blood sugar even, and getting up slowly to prevent it. Unless you have trouble catching your breath, or it doesn't go away when you lay down, it's nothing to worry about.

    Ooooh thank you so much!  I think kneeling and standing up so much made my bp freak out.

    I get the same way.  My doctor said I probably have orthostatic-hypotension.  Basically my veins have become larger due to the pregnancy so more blood can be supplied to the baby.  I have long legs so when I stand in one place for too long, the blood pools up in my legs and can't get to my brain quick enough and causes me to feel weak at first and then dizzy.  The doctor told me to either sit or try to keep moving and not stand still for too long.  He also told me to dance in the shower in the AM to get the blood moving!!  LOL

    The same thing happed to me periodically throughout my pregnancy.  For me it was due to low blood pressure and low blood sugar.
