Easter weekend plans?

What are your plans for this weekend?...and Happy Easter to all!!

Tonight I am going to a wedding (kinda strange being Good Friday) but free food! YAY!!!! haha

Tomorrow first I am going to sleep in!!!!!!  Then I am going to try and work in the yard if it EVER stops raining..my Dad and brother are coming up and going to pull out the purple carpet that is in what will be Garrett's room.  (don't think my lil man needs purple carpet!)  Then I am going to work in the room some.  Going to get the crib and changing table next weekend so would like to get as much done as we can this weekend.   

Sunday...my parents and brother, BF's parents, sisiter and her husband are coming up for a cookout (please cross your fingers its nice out!!!!) This is the first time my parents are meeting his so should be a great time! haha

    Snap, I'm going to a wedding tonight too then all day tomorrow cooking because I am doing Easter at home with my hubby and boys this year.  MIL is going to have hers next weekend because she wasn't sure if she could do it this week or not due to her bad back.  I have invited her and FIL over but I see him declining and her coming over on her own.

    Tonight we're coloring eggs and then DH and I are finally watching Harry Potter when the DCs go to bed.  :)

    Tomorrow DH's soccer game has already been canceled since the fields are under water.  I was hoping to take DS to the Anderson Parks egg hunt....we'll see what the weather is like.  DH's boss is having a cookout in the afternoon.....again....we'll see what the weather is doing.  After dinner we'll make our attempt at DH's family tradition of homemade cinnamon rolls.  The first time we made them without his mom's help we somehow f'd them up.

    Sunday is church, egg hunt at church, egg hunt at our house, dinner at ILs

    Tonight - Just hanging around the house.

    Tomorrow - Errands in the morning then the IL's are coming over to celebrate DS's first Easter.

    Sunday - Sunrise service, Easter breakfast, regular church service then spending Easter with my family.

    Hanging out tonight, and enjoying not having plans.

    Tomorrow:  Egg hunt at the park in the morning if weather permits.  Grocery store for Easter dinner.  Working on DD's big girl room to finish it.  Going away party for a coworker...dinner out and a pub afterward. 

    Sunday:  We may get on into church feeling like hypocrites for not going at all this year.  Looking for a new church.  Maybe Crossroads Mason.  Hosting Easter dinner at our house.  Small and low key.  We have kept it small since my Mom passed on Easter morning in 04.  Thankfully, Easter is on a different date every year.  Makes it a little easier to deal with.  Might go put new flowers on the cemetery plot if the weather allows.

    Trying to get out of going over to my MIL's on Sunday. Yeah seriously. I'm a horrible person, but I just can't deal right now. I worked more hours last week than I did in the last month total because we're super short handed and the guy I split shifts with was covering the road so I was on the desk for both of our shifts. And today was supposed to be a holiday (so I should have been off) and it ended up that we had our auditor call for our yearly audit, so I had to go in and work anyway. And next week the guy I split the shifts with is out of town, so I have to cover both shifts again. So needless to say, I'm tired and crabby and have no desire to deal with the drama.

    Becky, I am sorry about having a holiday associated with your mom's passing. :(

    Friday, we went out wtih some friends for a few hours and DD went to see ILs where she got an enormous Easter basket and golf clubs set.

    Today, we are cleaning, baking, cooking and what not for tomorrow's Easter dinner.

    Tomorrow, the bunny will come, breakfast, church, and hosting my parents, bros, and my grandma for dinner.

    BUSY BUSY!
