Hi Ladies - just wondering how many ounces you are pumping a day. My DS is 7 weeks old and I am pumping 25 -30 ounces. I think this is good - but am curious how I am comparing to others. I pump 6-7 times a day - about 20 minutes a pumping session with occassional power hours (once every other day or so). TIA!

I think you are doing very well. I'm getting about 26 ozs a day (and increasing steadily) at 9 weeks PP. I pump 7 times day, and try to get 1 power hour in each day. Time lengths vary from 15 minutes to 30+ each time. If you're looking to build your freezer stash, you could try an extra pump, but I bet you're already beating him.
Hey there- welcome to the pumping club. people are soooo different with their milk supplies. my theory is as long as baby is eating enough you are golden. anything additional is just icing.
that being said- it is always interesting to see what other people are at- when i was very early on with pumping i had a RIDICULOUS oversupply *(I am talking about 110oz a day)-- that being said i was pumping every two hours for twenty minutes. like kellymom.com said- i had no idea REALLY HOW much i was overproducing until i came on the nest and started to read. I do have a kick-arse freezer stash (about three months of food for her drinking 35oz a day)- and i can't wait to stop pumping around six months.
i was gradually able to get my supply down to a more reasonable level and i am pumping every four hours now/ten minute sessions- (from 6am until 10pm) and i get around 60oz a day.
GL with pumping- its a lot of work but if its right for you- and baby. Rock on.
