if you have been to Hoover Dam...

We're visiting Hoover Dam soon with our almost 3-year-old. It will be our first time. 
He loves all that machinery and it seems like the Power Plant Tour might be really neat visual experience. Do you think it is worth it, or should we just visit from the outside? Of course I would love to do the tour, but wondering what makes sense with my almost 3 year old. Thanks!

    I've been and I took my son when he was only 16 months.  Not that he remembers but it was fun and interesting.  I know my 4 year old would like it.
    Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.
