Met with dr yesterday...our plan

So we met with our doctor yesterday to discuss the c/p and decide what to do going forward. I found out that I'm the only the third person in the 25+ year history of the practice to get pregnant while on lupron. The other 2 stayed pregnant and had healthy babies, so I just had bad luck. He did say the fact that fertilization took place was a good thing, and he would take that as positive news for our future cycles.

He is changing me to an antagonist protocol, which is what I did for IVF #1 in Costa Rica. I will do 3 weeks of bcp, stim with 75iu of menopur and 200iu of follistim, and add in ganirelix at the end of stims. This sounds good to me as I really don't want to do lupron since the last two times have been cancelled and it doesn't seem that my body really responds to it at all.

The best part is he said I can start the bcps with my period, so it looks like that will be in the next few days. I know most people would try on their own since we had a surprise pg without treatment, but I am just so tired of waiting. I feel like the c/p was a total fluke and I just don't want to take the chance of having more months pass by without success. So, hopefully we are looking at ER/ET at the end of May.

For some reason I have a really good feeling about this cycle...I just feel that it will go as planned, no more cancellations, and that we will be able to complete the whole process finally.

I think that sounds like a great plan! And we'll be cycle buddies!! I'm starting bcp tonight and thinking ER/ET should be late May or early June. Oh, and he switched me to antagonist this time, too, so our cycles will be pretty similar. Who know? We may even run into each other there!
