Anyone ever just not sure about cd1?

I have really wacky periods...I spot heavily for 5 or more days, have 1 day of what I would call full flow, and then maybe one more day of spotting and that's it.  I have been spotting for 3 days now, mostly brown but yesterday I had about an hour of heavy red flow.  Now I'm spotting again.  My lining was only 5.7 when I went in last Tuesday, so I really don't think I have much to come out. 

With my lining that thin and all the spotting, do you think I should expect full on flow?

    Can you call your nurse and run the situation by her?  Sometimes my nurse will have me come in for b/w to determine if I really am at day 1.
