is anyone using a body pillow yet?

I find the the days I work, I am really sore when I wake up the next day. Mostly my sacrum and hips.

I think it might be time for a body pillow, but I don't want a huge thing, because we only have a queen size bed. Maybe just one of the boppy ones that go between my legs.

Is anyone using one yet? If so, do you like what you have?

Re: is anyone using a body pillow yet?

  • Yep, I got one right away because my lower back was killing me. I got the larger Bobby pillow (the ssort of 'C' shaped one) and we have a queen bed too.....it's pretty awesome! And it's large, but it doesn't get in my husband's way at all. I probably would have been fine with one that just goes between the legs too, but I figure once I get bigger, I will like this one because there's a place to rest the belly. :o)

  • I use a King sized pillow that I've had for years so its not as round as a normal body pillow, but it works great.  I was having bad pain in my right hip (man I sound old) and now that i sleep curled around it the pain has pretty much gone away.  Let me know what you end up using.

  • I have one that I've used for years from Bed, Bath & Beyond.  I think it was about $15. It is a plain rectangle, nothing fancy like the pregnancy ones, but it does the job.

  • I got the boppy one a couple weeks ago because I was very uncomfortable when sleeping and it really helped. We only have a queen sized bed too and it doesn't take up too much room.

  • I ordered the boppy full body pillow from Amazon and it came yesterday. My back's been bothering me during the night and it really did help.

  • I was having a hard time sleeping since my BFP,  so one day DH went and bought me a sleep keeper at wal-mart, it was the best $40 ever... so comfy! It has all these different ways to position it, and some ways help after baby is here, like with BF.
  • I woke up today with terrible back pain. I'm going out a buying one today, not sure which one though. I need one that doesn't take up a lot of room. Hopefully it helps!

This is what I've been using also.  You don't really need to buy a "special" pillow aka expensive.  Try out things that you already have first.

  • I always use a body pillow, but I'm hoping to buy this Boppy one soon.

  • I bought a cheap $10 one from Target and used it last night for the first time, BEST $10 I've ever spent!
  • I have a regular $10 body pillow from Target and it has worked just fine for me with both pregnancies.

  • You will need the Snoogle before long! Trust me. It's worth the money.

  • I'm not yet, but I'm probably going to buy one sometime during 2nd tri.  Last time I was so uncomfortable near the end that I couldn't sleep for more than an hour at a time.  I hope to avoid that this go round!  I've heard good things about the boppy body pillow, but it's kind of expensive.

  • No body pillow, but I have been pressing a regular pillow against my belly and that seems to make me feel better.

  • I have snoogle and really like it!  It was $40 instead of $60 because I bought it at burlington coat factory instead of BRU
