Why is my butt still sore 6 weeks after PIO shots?

It only hurts when I run (which is not often) but my butt is still sore from PIO shots. I do have an AMPLE bootie... so maybe it has something to do with that... there was a post a while ago where I learned that other girls with round-ish butts had a lot of trouble with PIO shots, too.  Mine were incredibly painful until we figured out we had to inject really high up to avoid that (I'm talking swollen lumps day one of shots and every shot after until we figured it out.)Anyway, it's not bad pain, and I don't jog much right now, but how can I still be sore this long after?  DId this happen to anyone else?

    I had the same problem! I'm about 10 weeks post my last PIO shot and I can't remember exactly when it stopped hurting, but it hasn't been that long.

    After 3 years of infertility we were blessed with twin girls through private infant adoption.

    My last pio shot was November 28, 2010 and I still am sore.  Hope yours doesn't last as long.  It is literally a pain in the arse

    Yeah, mine hurt a lot with my first cycle.  DH was giving me injections and I think he was giving them in fatty tissue and not the muscle.  It took a while for it to stop hurting.  With my second cycle, I had the nurse mark an 'x' where he should inject me.  I did not have any problems with pain after that.

    I remember being shocked by how long my butt was sore afterwards when I was playing soccer. I noticed it running too, but it was really painful playing soccer since that's a much more jarring style of running. And I'm not bootylicious. I don't remember exactly how long it lasted but it was easily 4 weeks or more.
