Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Ok, I bite. Tell me about the RnP.

I pretty much ignored these posts when I was pregnant. DD sleeps GREAT in her papasan seat. In a PnP or Co-Sleeper? Not so much.

We've been bedsharing, but I'm too tired for that, too.

So tell me about the RnP. They sleep in it all night? And that's safe? It looks like a seat that's high off the floor, haha.

Is it wonderful? Yay or Nay? I need her to have somewhere to sleep at night! lol

  • It's a magical product that makes babies STTN. I love the RnP. It's lightweight and moves easily from room to room. I can't say anything bad about it.

  • My DD sleeps in the RnP all night.  She doesn't like to lay flat, and it's on an incline so she sleeps really well in it.  We've had no problems with it.  You can strap your LO in like you would in your swing, but at this point she doesn't roll or anything so we don't use it.  It holds up to 25 lbs, but I'll transition her to her crib well before then!  Plus, it's extremely portable and folds flat.  :)  Hope that helps!

  • Head over heels love...it even travels well. My guy goes 5 to 6 hour stretches in it.
  • We loved it. First we had her in our room in it and she slept wonderfully - then we moved her into her own room in it and she still slept great. Last week we started transitioning her into her crib with a crib wedge - and she is starting to sleep well in there. Basically the RnP was a great transitional piece for us, and we will still keep it for overnight trips to her Grandparent' house.
  • The RnP saved my life!  Stick out tongue

Seriously though, we were lucky to get 3 hours at a time in the bassinet or PnP (usually more like 1 hour).  The first night in the RnP DD slept 5 hours!  And everynight since then at LEAST a 4 hour stretch (and as much as 7 hours at a time!)   It's worth a try - just save the receipt and take it back if your LO doesn't take to it.  But ours did - and I've said several times now that it's the best $50 I ever spent!

    Good luck!

  • Just bought the RnP today after reading posts about it on the bump. I have to say that so far so good! The real test will be tonight to see if he sleeps through the night. My baby no longer likes his crib or bassinet and was co-sleeping in his boppy but i wanted him out of our bed because i didnt want to continue with that bad habit. I say buy it & try it. Keep the box & receipt like i have and return it if it doesnt work for you.

  • it's just fabulous.  i cannot believe it's only $50.  i would pay $200 for the damn thing it works so well.  seriously, though, we have NEVER put DS in it and NOT had him fall asleep.  so go get one.  you won't regret it, promise.

  • seriously the greatest baby invention ever. dd has slept every night in it and has pretty much sttn since home from the hospital- it took ds almost a year to sleep the way she sleeps now. i truly believe it is b/c of the inclined position, and it gives them a snug feeling. i have nothing bad to say about this-it has been our life saver- i will buy it for all of my pregnant friends.

Yes  Also, great for reflux, which most babies have to some degree.
