I am not a regular, but I post from time to time and we are just over the moon (and this board has been so helpful through it all, especially in a situation about 2 weeks ago that we were presented!)
We went in for our final homestudy interview on Tuesday and per him, it turned into an interview to become parents. He showed us the picture of a little guy looking for a family and we just fell in love. He is still in the hospital and then would go to cradle care for 1-2 weeks as mom does have 30 days to change her mind, though he is quite confident in her adoption plan. We were completely floored...heading to get a bite to eat right after. So, we have a little boy!!!!!
We went to meet him last night and tonight, I got to feed him and we both held him. We are over the moon, honestly. DH has been so cute. He is consistently gaining (up 1.2 oz since yesterday) and he was awake and alert the whole time we were there and started to drift off in my arms. We even put him to bed. So in love with him!
I know it is not final, but we are just over the moon and just pray it is how we feel, meant to be.
Re: We are still in shock...
