Hyland's Homeopathic Teething Tablets

Anyone use these? I heard them recommended at a baby shower I was at this weekend. I might go get some for DS, he is teething and totally miserable today.

  • main ingredient is bella donna.  when you google that, it's a toxic plant.  so no, we don't use them.

  • yes, and they work well!
  • we just started using them this weekend and they seem to work well. though now i will be asking the pedi about it because of what Joe's mentioned above.
  • I love them and they've worked with both of my kids!
  • The ingredient that joes is referring to is HIGHLY diluted in the teething tablets - your baby would have to ingest something like 6 tubes worth at the same time in order for there to be any reaction, and even then it would be a minor reaction. As long as you use the recommended dosage, your baby will be fine.

That said, they would well for some babies but not for others. We just started using them yesterday and DS did fall asleep shortly after taking them. I'm not sure if it was due to the tablets or not.

  • my sister in law used them with her kids and they worked well. I plan to try them. I'm pretty sure if they were toxic and not safe they would not be on the market.
