First I have so say I am NOT pregnant
But we will be ttc later this year. And if all goes well wish to be pregnant near the end of the year. My sister is getting married in April... it is her second marriage so she isnt having a honeymoon after but instead has invited the immediate family to join them for a Carribean Cruise
So my question : I know all the guidelines say I can travel by land, sea and air up till my 8th month. but has anyone had experience with this, particularly going on cruise in your later part of pregnancy? is traveling in the beginning or 3rd tri/end of 2nd tri not a great idea?
your advice would be so helpful
Re: Travelling while Pregnant?
I know nothing about the later months, but I wholey and completely regret planning our Europe trip and being 6/7 weeks pregnant at the same time. My gosh, I think it would have been so much better to go anywhere any way anytime after 15 weeks...but then again, this doesn't answer your questions about later pregnancy since the most pregnant I've ever been is 22 weeks
agreed. I think you might have to be less than 24 weeks for most cruise lines.
if u dont have any problems with the pregnancy i dont see an issue with it, i was 8 months prego and went camping and was about 4 hours from a hospital but i did check with my ob first. Also some cruise lines have diffrent rules about how far along u can be i dont remember which 1 but there rules say u can be no more than 7 1/2 months while u are on board the ship (i missed out on a nice cruise last year because of this) because they dont have the space, tools, or a ob on board in case u go into labor. hope this helps some.
That's crazy about cruise ships. Good luck.
Stef- I'll be in weeks 10-12 when we go to England and I totally thought of you and your trip when I calculated that!
Great! Thanks, i will call the cruise line directly, my sister actually mentioned that they may have their own specifications.
